Irina Grigoryeva ‒ is an accordionist, the winner of all-Russian and international competitions in performing, teaching and scientific activities.
She was born in Omsk in 1981. Irina graduated from the Omsk musical college of V. J. Shebalin (professor Beletskaya Lyudmila Ivanovna) in 2002, the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory (professor Orlov Vladimir Evgenyevich). She finished a postgraduate course in the same place in 2010 (professor Sharov Oleg Mikhailovich).
Irina has performed in many cities of Russia and Europe as a concert player.
During the years of study she began to teach. She became the founder of the Accordion studio (2003) and the Digital accordion studio (2016) for children at the Center of arts “On Vasilievsky” in St. Petersburg.
Now she is a professor at the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory.
She began science activities since 2018. Her numerous publications and speeches at the different conferences are devoted to topical issues of the accordion history, contemporary music and some problems of identifying these instruments in contemporary art.
She initiated the revival of the publication of a collection of scientific articles of teachers and graduates of the department of bayan and accordion at the St. Petersburg Conservatory: “Accordion and Bayan performance. Method, theory and history”.
Irina Grigoryeva is a member of the jury and organizing committees of various regional, city and all-Russian competitions.
She became the winner of the St. Petersburg Government prize “The best teacher of continuing education of the state educational institution of St. Petersburg” (in 2018).
