Irina Grigorieva is the author of the idea and the artistic director of the Accordionatoria competition for children.

This unique project has been implemented on the basis of the Center for Creative Development and Humanitarian Education of Children “On Vasilievsky” in St. Petersburg since 2018. Its originality lies in the fact that the competing musicians perform the program on the piano-accordion. At the same time, the percentage of inclusion of other instruments is insignificant and is possible only in the category of ensemble and orchestral music-making.

The competition is timed to coincide with the World Accordion Day (May 6) and is one of the many events dedicated to this significant date. The winners of the competition, in addition to diplomas and gifts, have the opportunity to perform at a gala concert in the prestigious Concert Hall of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory named after N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov.The competition project “Accordionatoria” contributes to the preservation of the traditions of playing the accordion, maintains interest in musical activity among young accordionists, creates a favorable environment for professional communication between teachers and students, forms and consolidates positive social relations among the young generation.

Attention! The third competition “Accordionatoria” is scheduled for April 2022. The regulations will be available on the website of the TsTRiGO “On Vasilievsky” in the projects section: Follow the announcements!
